Father’s Day Cooking
I’m going to do a Brisket: I think Sherry’s doing home made potato salad using our garden potatoes and her baked beans. Hot Rolls of course and we’ll make some Ice Cream

I hope one of my Sons asks us over to their house because they both can really cook.

I may do some baby backs on the Traeger, that is something I have never tried. I am liking the sound of homemade Ice Cream too.

We have a 4 quart electric ice cream maker.
5 beaten eggs and 1& 1/2 cups IMPERIAL Sugar. 1 can Eagle Brand Milk, no substitutions. 1 teaspoon Pure Vannila flavoring. Mix and pour in 4 quart freezer. Add whole milk to fill line inside freezer. Use ice and rock salt and run until mixer binds up and quits turning. Enjoy

Re: Father’s Day Cooking
Brings back great memories - - - I've sat on a many Churn type Ice Cream Freezer while my Dad cranked the handle and my reward was to get to lick the dash when Mom pulled it out before icing down for the final freeze setting. Mom used to put a small box of Junket in her mix also but I haven't seen the little boxes in a long time.

Re: Father’s Day Cooking
I never had homemade churned ice cream until I was an adult. That was delicious. I had stuff someone called homemade which was not churned and it was not. Thanks for the recipe. I will use this when the to do list gets smaller and I have more time.
