Christmas cookin’
Fired up the LSG for some family yesterday. Really happy with the way it performed. I don’t feel like the pictures do the turkey justice. Really glad I went with the Sucklebusters Area 51 brine. It was easy and good.
Now let me tell you about the Sucklebusters Sugar Daddy Ham recipe. If you like a honey baked style ham you gotta try this. It was fantastic.
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Thanks Parts - that’s Boomer and he’s a golden retriever/ Great Pyrenees mix. My kids and sister decided he needed some decorations
Thank you Joe - the stacked plates and sausage balls were my wife’s doings. Apparently I took the photo before it was completely prepared but I thought it looked nice as it was. Everything tasted great

Garrison Brothers Whiskey. Hye Texas.
There is a beer joint and dance hall down the road in Albert TX. The ole postmaster from Hye drinks beer in there, and he is from back in the LBJ days. Tells great stories.
Nice photos sooner.

Thank you. We were wanting to go to that beer joint when we were in the hill country during the summer but Covid had it closed.

Albert TX. Population 4 I believe. It probably was closed, they serve no food. And you wouldn't want to stay long if they are open. Beer is pricey. But its close to Hye and Garrison Brothers.

The regulars were supposedly still gathering under the big tree out front on Friday evenings and bringing their own beer

They very well could have. There is a big patio area under those trees out back. And the restrooms are a separate building out back as well. So they wouldn’t need the bar to be open really. I have spent a couple of nights there in the parking lot, after having over served myself.

Haha - that’s where having the big truck pays off
