This is a typical summer dish for us. Found the recipe in a book of Gordon Ramsey a few years ago. Very simple but tasty. Mix up a dressing of garlic, red chili, fish sauce, brown sugar, salt and lime juice. Crush the garlic and chili in a mortar.
Make salad of mini Romain, radicchio, carrots, cucumber and spring onions. Mix with most of the dressing.
Make 4 plates of salad and grill and slice the steaks. We rubbed the steaks with SB SPG. Place on top of the salad and add a spoon of the remaining dressing on top.
Very tasty, a little spicy and salty but fresh.

Thanks for the nice comments.
Here's the recipe we use, except we skip the following:
Cherry tomatoes
Mint leaves
Peanuts (wife doesn't like Peanuts )

It's the dressing that makes the taste.Sailor Kenshin wrote:Must try this!

Joe,
There was once a Thai restaurant in town that I loved and they made the BEST beef salad. And you're right - the dressing sends this dish into space.
I DL'ed your recipe. Thanks for sharing.
