Ribeye on the Genesis II SE-330

Postby OkieGal » Mon Jul 05, 2021 11:17 am

My mother is able to chew again after months of dealing with oral surgery and issues, and my pup Harley recently turned 17, so
we decided steaks were in order. :D
I put 2 choice ribeyes and 2 choice center cut sirloins on the Weber gas grill. The sirloins were seasoned with Sucklebusters SPG, but
for the ribeyes I tried a new rub: Oakridge BBQ Carne Crosta. This stuff is really good! I will be using it again.
Between this and the Sucklebusters rubs I experimented with this weekend, I may never eat "plain" steak again! LOL

For dessert we had grilled peaches. They were topped with brown sugar, cinnamon, butter and Fireball Whiskey, then served with Vanilla Bean ice cream.

I don't know how to comment with each pic, so in order they are:
Rubbed steaks awaiting show time
The Birthday Girl watching for Grandma to show up
Resting steaks (they are not burned, the rub just looks that way)
Mealtime
Dessert

We all ate like royalty and enjoyed it all. :D

(Doggone it - if someone can tell me how to make sure my pics are properly oriented, I'd sure appreciate it. :( )

Food Looks Great and so does Harley.
Except for some White spots, ?She? looks almost exactly like Our old Dog "Snowtoes" who was Malmute and Symoyd mix.

Thanks Rambo!

Thanks phillymike!

Thanks Parts! And Harley blushes and says "aw shucks"
She has aged pretty well. She's jet black with a small white patch on her chest. Her muzzle started graying only in about the last year.
I don't know what she is - the shelter said Spaniel mix, but Vets, groomers, etc say she's too big for that. :dont:

Thanks for your recommendations on Campfire. I really love it!
