The "Pied Piper" of Jalapeno Poppers

Postby OldUsedParts » Fri Aug 20, 2021 11:33 am

I can't forget Amigeaux Egghead's post the other day concerning his Pineapple Jalapeno Poppers so today I have the ingredients to give them a try. Even SWMBO is willing to try them so I'm making 6 very large fat ones.
Deseeded and slightly par-boiled Large Jalapenos
Can of large chunk Pineapple
Suckle Busters Hootchie Mama
Jalapeno Cream Chez Spread
HEB Hatch Chili Bacon (I've been eating it like it was a piece of Jerky by nuking it until it was done but not too crisp) Yum Yum

In a few hours I'll cook these over some Kingsford Charcoal Briquettes and report back after we give them a go.

They turned out good and BTW, I don't like my Popper Bacon to be real crisp, as you can see. :whiteflag:

I'll definitely do the Pineapple again, however, next time I think I'll crush a LOT of Pineapple and Juice with a Little cream cheese spread so you'll get the Pineapple taste in every bite and not just 3 bites per Popper. :dont: :chef:

Those look great. Crushed pineapple sounds like a good idea. I wonder how it be if you used the soft cream cheese with pineapple in it?

Edit: Well, never mind - apparently they discontinued the one with pineapple.

I would be great, I'm sure, I just use the Cream Cheese Spread because it's already soft. :salut:

Trust me, you can't go wrong following an "Egghead" creation on the Pit :wav: :texas:

Where do you get jalapeño cream cheese? It must be a texas location thing.

I would think that it's not only a Texas thing, especiall since there is a Philadelphia Brand.

Of course you can make your own or even use Jalapeno Cream Cheese "DIP" from LAYS. :dont:

Looks great, wife normally buys the cream cheese whenever we get it for something, I will take a look as she loves pineapple and sounds like a great combo

Have to try these. We struggle with getting anything but pickled sliced jalapeños. Quality we getting here are awful. Often the whole ones mold on them.
