Felt like cheating- Pork tenderloin

Postby JReich » Mon Mar 07, 2022 8:13 pm

For those of us in TX I figure everyone has probably stopped in a Bucee’s or at least know what they are. I got lazy and picked up a bacon wrapped, boudin stuffed tenderloin there this week and paid too much for it. Just like everything else right now I guess. We had a bagged salad mix and some corn on the cob doctored up and man, I should cheat more often. That thing was worth having someone else stuff and wrap it. The salad was a bacon blue cheese and it could have had some blue cheese crumbles added for my liking but we were out. Anyway, I’ll be picking up another one of these next time I stop into Bucees.

My salad to meat ratio when plating is a little off, I added a couple more pieces later.

So, to be clear; it was uncooked? The finished product looks beautiful

You still had to cook it and it looks like you did that to perfection.

I’d be lying if I said I never spent way more than I intended at bucees. Used to blame the kids and now they’ve expanded the bbq seasoning section so it’s on me now

I never pass them without picking up some Venison Dry Sausage Links - - - then I have to hide it from the Wife. :laughing7:

Thank you gang. For my second act of “cheating” I cut up the leftover bacon wrapped loin and used as my protein in my boxed Zatarans jambalaya. Some “garlic bread” and green onions on top. Not all bad for a round two.
