Sunday Chillin

Postby GTR » Sun Jun 05, 2022 12:31 pm

Got some snacks and a little dinner working. Beef ribs and a couple different ABT’s.

The 6 on the left are an old recipe I’ve used several times. The 4 on the right are experimental. Avocado, green onion, cilantro, garlic powder and black pepper. Sounded good….time will tell.

It was good. Imagine a bacon wrapped jalapeño with some avocado dip. Just enough to knock the heat down. Even cored those peppers still had a bit of a zing.

Thanks SK. I seemed to have gotten hit by the weird atmospheric conditions causing problems for many others this past week. Went to check, thinking I was 15 minutes or so from wrapping. Had been holding 250-275* for a couple hours. Well temp had jumped to 350*. Got it cooled down, wrapped and forged on. Did get lucky with the ABT’s with the avocado filling. Will definitely be doing them again.
