Pork Butt Sunday

Postby JReich » Sun Jun 26, 2022 2:25 pm

Cheated on my old faithful Weber and pulled out the Old Smokey today. I just like using different tools sometimes. I smoked ribs on the Weber gas grill a couple weeks ago. Anyway, love the Old Smokey for chicken and pork so put a 8lber on this morning at 7am. I made a little too much rub and wasn’t going to waste it so it is “well seasoned”. . B&B charcoal with hickory. OS18 held great temp between 250-265 for 6hrs. Just wrapped about an hour ago and sitting at 185 now. Will let it get to 203-205 or so and rest for a hour. Looking forward to to dinner! Y’all have a good Sunday!

Leftover pork butt makes a great Cuban sandwich.
