I did - I cooked indirectly on my Summerset gas grill. Burners on each end with loin in the middle. I did not use the middle burner. I replaced the OEM grates with custom cut Grill Grates. Love them!

Who or where did you get the grates cut at? And are they that much better than factory grates? Flare up and such?

Ordered them directly from grillgrate.com. They have many that are already sized for popular grill models. If not, you send them measurements and they will cut them. To me - totally worth it and better. They stop flareups and add amazing grill marks. Just my opinion, but no regrets at all with the purchase.

Alright T-Tobe, I ordered the grill grates today, you had to take one for the team with the warden.

Wait!!! What!? you ordered grates but no PK grill? :P

The grates are for the built in gasser here at the kitchen/bar. I am still processing the situation for the lake. Because the boy has a weber he doesn't use anymore so I think I may get out of that deal for free even.

Free is Good!!! And they have grates for Webers too. :D

I don’t think you will be disappointed. Before I had the set made for my gas grill, I had a set I used as a topper on my gator pit and also my gas grill. Once I ordered an entire replacement for my Summerset, it’s been awesome. More Grill-estate! :D
20" x 40" Party Gator Pit
Custom Mobile Stick Burner
Summerset TRL 32" Built-In Grill
Weber Q2200
48" Custom Firepit
Bertello Pizza Oven

I can't always please everybody. I'm not bacon.

I had to get my set custom cut as well. I also ordered a infared temp gun so I can keep an eye on the temps at the grates to see how it is going to change how it cooks.

Toby you have hit a Dinger with RBIs there. Gorgeous weave.

Tex Toby, when you get a chance can you post a couple of photo's of your grill grates in your gas grill that shows how much of a gap you have at each end?

Thank you, I appreciate that. I talked to a gal at Grill Grates and she told me that I needed to leave a little air gap at the ends. Then when I was on there website they have a video of a guy I believe talking about cleaning the grates and the grill that he is doing the video on has the grates all the way to the edge like yours. So when I ordered mine I order enough to get me edge to edge.

Did you have to use a little less gas when you added yours? I guess I am wondering if it cooked hotter? And have you ever taken the tempo at the grates at any time to see how hot they were running?

My grill has cooked hot since the day I got it. I just figured it was a gas grill thing. It's the first gasser I've ever owned, and I definitely had to re-learn how to grill with it. I mostly cook on low or near low on it and typically cook indirectly. I've never taken the temp at grate level.
