I am okay with yardbird category, or like Rambo said, any other with meat.

What about a Thanksgiving Throwdown, with sides allowed? That would give everybody time to be ready and most will be Cooking already. Could show off some Turkey, Ham, or whatever they choose? Just a thought

My thought with thanksgiving is that we will have company and I doubt they will want to wait until I get done jackin with pictures.
I am sure I can get the Turkeys photo though if that's what's decided.

Just a suggestion to get some participants and give everyone plenty of time. I CERTAINLY understand the company thing; we’ll probably have 25 or so

My only concern with a Thanksgiving throwdown is that we are working with bbq. How many of us smoke turkeys or otherwise cook them outside of an oven or a frier? I don't want anyone to have to change plans try something unfamiliar to them which could jeopardize a large family gathering.

Been out of touch for a while(my 96yo father died mid October) so I am just seeing this thread. I have done more than a few Thanksgiving turkeys on the pit, lots of fun sometimes on a cold, windy late November day.
Anyway, I am up for a throwdown no matter what the meat or theme.
