I made these last night. I got the recipe from taste of home kitchens. I was too tired to take a picture and besides that the heat got to me. I had worked in the yards a little yesterday. I made the recipe as is. I always do the first time around. The cumin and red pepper came thru loud and clear. I could not taste the beer at all. I used a dark german beer. I prefer that when cooking. I also used buffalo and made 3 big patties. They were ever so moist and I will used this recipe again and I will take some pics for you all; but next time I may forsake the red pepper and go with a fresh jalepeno. I did throw some thick sliced vidalias on the grill to get the smoke flavor. Otherwise, this was very tasty! this is a keeper for me.
Zippy Burgers:
INGREDIENTS:
1/4 cup beer or beef broth
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 pound lean ground beef
4 hamburger buns, split
DIRECTIONS:
In a bowl, combine the first seven ingredients. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. Shape into four patties.
If grilling the hamburgers, coat grill rack with nonstick cooking spray before starting the grill. Grill hamburgers, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from the heat for 6-8 minutes on each side or until a meat thermometer reads 160 degrees F. Serve on buns.

Yeah they still sound good however there is something awry Debbie talks about the cumin but it isn't listed in the ingredients. The directions say to mix the first 7 ingredients and make patties but that wouldn't include the beef. Debbie said she was tired and I believe it.
