My wife fixed this yesterday. Believe it was the best roast she ever made.
Trim most of the fat off the brisket before cooking.
Awesome Pot Roast

1 brisket or roast
2 packages brown gravy mix
onion powder
garlic salt
1 pkg onion soup mix or chopped onion
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 quart water
Put all in roaster on rack, cover and
bake in oven until done about 4 hours @ 350 degrees.

Bet that was tasty. The warden makes a similar concoction using canned mushroom soup..Lipton dry onyawn soup mix and a small shot of A1 Sauce. She just smears all that stuff on the roast and wraps in foil and cooks in the oven. Makes its own gravy with no additional liquid added. Yum yum.
