Southern fried chicken....again

Postby Russ » Sun Jun 07, 2020 6:33 pm

We have our daughter living with us ATM, landlord sold her house out from under her so she's been here this year with her son. Hes 7 and a real, funny guy. He's loves fried chicken so im doing southern fried again. Chicken has been in brine, Thomas kellers recipe.
I'll dip in buttermilk then spiced flour later. Golden fries and we're all happy. Still morning here but I'll put pics up later.
Mr7 calls me either Russ or numb nuts, did I tell you hes funny. ?
I may get time for iced onion rings???

Great chicken! BTW fried chicken was traditionally a staple in Texas EVERY Sunday for dinner (dinner is the midday meal over here, supper is at night in the south).

You are very kind to the grandson. If I’d called my grandad numb nuts, my father would’ve had me sleeping in the yard with da hounds after I got out of intensive care.

Good looking chicken.
We like chicken tenders/strips or whatever you call them.
I should give it a try, but the local Smith's (AKA Kroger) has such goood ones.
