Bacon Gr. Chile Tator Tot Casserole Hj's

1)1¼ lb. pkg. bacon any U like chop fry save some grease
1) 32 oz. pkg. tater tots frozen 
1 tsp. garlic granular or more
1/4 tsp. pepper
1½ c. sour cream
1) 10¾ oz. Cheddar or Cream Mushroon Soup
4 green onions chopped ñ some stems
CHOP UP fresh gr. chiles or use the frozen Bueño as much as U Like
1) 8 oz. pkg. Colby Jack cheese shred - I use more ñ add some in with soup if not using cheddar soup

Serve with salsa

Large bowl - mix together soup - sour cream - garlic - gr. chiles - black pepper ñ onion. Add fried bacon with a little grease ñ tater tots - mix well together gently.
Place all into a greased 13"x 9"x 2" baking dish.
Cover with foil - bake 350°F. 50 minutes.
Uncover ñ bake 8 to 10 minutes longer or till golden brown.

People can salt their own if needed when served
U CAN ADD in some fried gr. beef also ..not much
A mistake is sometimes a great creation

We do tater tot casserole but I really like the idea of adding the green chilies. Thanks!

If you want a smoky taste
In those tater tots instead of using gr. chiles.... use some dried Priscilla ancho. Charr them first over the fire with tongs ( be careful not to catch them on fire, they char fast use long tongs to char all over) cool n then ñ grind them up - sprinkle ground up charred peppers into casserole ñ mix well before baking!
