Re: THE Texas Dessert
I only buy Creamy Creations 1905 Vanilla ice cream, and not Blue Bell. I know that may seem sacrilegious to some, but that is an HEB brand, and you cain't git no more Texan than HEB.

I prefer Blue Bell (FROM THE LITTLE CREAMERY IN BRENHAM, TEXAS However, I must confess that I eat my Bedtime Snack of HEB's Dulce De Leche EVERY SINGLE NIGHT
OH, and BTW, I disagree with your statement of the Pecan Pie that Rambo posted "not being a good one" - - - it was Just Creamier that's all.

I've never had pecan pie and also want learn how to make it. However I'm sure putting icecream on it can't be wrong. Icecream is with desserts like bacon is with food!bsooner75 wrote:You know I’ve never had ice cream on my pecan pie? Always been whipped cream of some sort.
