I have been buying and baking Betty Crocker Cookie Mixes lately and some of them ask for 1 stick of Margarine softened to room temperature. I've just been slightly warming the margarine in the Microwave and was finding the dough way too runny to manage into soft balls. THAT IS UNTIL I STARTED LEAVING A STICK IN THE BOWL OVERNIGHT ON THE COUNTER .

THIS CHANGED THE TEXTURE, FINAL OUTCOME and TASTE AND I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. :dont:   :texas:

I do not eat margarine. My wife keeps me a stick of butter in a butter dish on the counter. It is always at the ready. :D

Betty Crocker Salted Caramel Cookie Mix is absolutely off the chain. If you can find it - buy it. You won't be disappointed. Plus 1.000 on butter vs. margarine. :chef: :chef:
