Big mistake!

Postby Norway Joe » Mon Dec 24, 2018 3:29 am

A few days ago I made some scrambled eggs and bacon. Drizzled som SPG over the bacon in the pan and a little bit in the eggs batter.

Made the scrambled eggs in the pan without cleaning it after the bacon so I got the fat and rest of the SPG in the scrambled eggs.

What happened? Absolutely success and the mistake is that I have permanently got the bacon and scrambled eggs job in our house

Good job Joe. And there is no rule on not adding SPG to the eggs as well. But I often times cook the eggs in bacon or sausage grease. And always when I am at the races.

Thanks. I usually cook in the bacon grease too, but it distorts the color of the eggs so I usually only do it when color is not so important. E.g when I use the scrambled eggs to smoked salmon or cured meat/sausages I use a clean pan to keep the color. But then I add a little bit of chives or parsley. The SPG lifted the taste, though.

SPG is a pretty good seasoning for most things ya just want to add some flavor to. My wife uses it on several of the dishes she cooks, my daughter in Virginia uses it and says it is some of the best she has tasted, so from our side it makes one a good cook!! :chef:

I am ready. Bring em on :salut:

We often have oven baked fries. Today we had ham and bearnaise sauce and fries. I sprinkled some SB campfire steak seasoning on the fries before putting them in the oven. That tasted very good, too.
