Trying Out 3 New Rubs

Postby Smoking Piney » Wed Oct 16, 2019 5:24 pm

I've been very happy with the SB rubs I've used so far, so I ordered some more rubs to try out - Clucker Dust, Chicken Wing Seasoning, and Campfire.

Just tasting from the container, they taste great. I'm excited to get some cooks with in with them. :D

Gator,

Pics are posted in the Smokehouse forum.

I'm most impressed. The Clucker Dust was KILLER on the wings and definitely a lifetime keeper.

The Campfire was equally awesome on my short ribs. I just cooked filets tonight (sorry, no pics) with Campfire hot and fast, and they rocked.

Flat out killer rubs. :D

I'm predicting Hog Waller Honey, Hootchie Mama and Texas Pecan

Chrystal ball? :P :D

I'm slowly working my way through SB. The Hog Waller and Texas Pecan sound right for the next round, but just how hot is Hootchie Mama?

I like heat, but not something that blinds my taste buds and makes my lips numb. :D

I would compare it to Slap-Yo-Mama or maybe Tony's Cajun Seasoning as far as the heat goes. I can't stand breath taking heat either and I use it all the time. If you decide to get a jug and it's too hot, I'll buy it from you and pay the shipping - - - how bout that for confidence :?: :laughing7:

P.S. I just poured my second cup of Java and did a taste test of the Hootchie Mama at 7am with no after effects at all. Hmmmm, I may even use it on my Breakfast tacos now ;)

Thanks, OUP.

Looks like Hootchie Mama will be on my next order. I like heat....just not blinding heat.
