Meat Grinder Advice
I have a Northern Tool Meat Grinder very similar to this http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/ ... _200451267 The difference is, mine does not have stainless steel attachments, but rather all aluminum. The aluminum is corroding, creating a chalky surface. Can you buy stainless steel replacement parts such as the feeder tray and auger housing? I'm not sure those are the correct names or whatnot. I'd rather buy replacement parts than an all new grinder, but can't seem to find what I am looking for. Just hoping somebody more experienced in this department can point me in the right direction.

Tex, I am sure you have called northern already. But I have bought parts from them before. Looking on the net I haven't found anything for you yet, but will keep looking. CF
OK, get over it, you lost. God bless America

I don't know the answer to your question, but I can say to spray food-grade silicon on you equipment. It helps to mitigate the problems you're describing.

Re: Meat Grinder Advice
Don't put that stuff in the Dishwasher the soap has a mild form of costic acid in it and it will corrode cast aluminum. I didn't heed the warning on the KA mixer attachments and had to replace them.
Never met a cow I didn't like with a little salt and pepper.
