The maple sugar bacon taste good but no maple flavor at all. I'm a little bummed by that but I'm sure with some maple syrup on top, it will make a tasty item to eat.

Love a good breakfast and this fits the bill !!
I know ur across the country, but if you can get ur hands on some of the best Maple Syrup from New England, I highly suggest some from Stonewall Kitchens.
Maine has a great dark Maple that is excellent.
Whenever I'm in Upstate NY, or New Hampshire I make sure to head into Vermont and just cruise the back roads.
Especially around October/November, you will pass roadside shacks selling thier Local Maple Syrup and imho, there is no finer Maple Syrup than from Vermont.

As for your Bacon, here's what I do.
I take Thick Smoked Bacon, and cover it with this type of Syrup for a few days before it goes on the griddle.
They also make a Maple Salt & Pepper that goes great on it while it's marinating as well.
There really is nothing like it, especially on a brisk early morning

I was recommended to use maple sugar and told you could taste it a certain way when you cure it. I followed it plus added more as it sat dry curing in my refrigerator. I even dusted it after slicing it so it was there. Maybe I bought the wrong one maybe. I tried actual maple syrup in my first batch which led me to the disappointment of no flavor. I really like the molasses and black pepper. It’s great sweet and a kick. The 5 spiced pepper is spot on so I’ll just continue to use them. I bought two book recently for charcuterie so maybe they have a few recipes I can try out but for now. The maple sugar is not have enough flavor.

Hmm, I would try a High Quality Dark Maple Syrup honestly.
If you do any online ordering, look for the Dark one from Stonewall Kitchens.
Might even be on Amazon ??

Also, we have a upscale food chain here called Wegmans. I'm not sure if they are on the west coast by you or not, but they carry Stonewall Kitchens line.

Just a suggestion my friend.
Look at it this way, if it doesn't help ur Bacon, just use it on ur Flap Jacks !!

Is this one the strongest flavored maple syrup in your opinion? I’ll try anything to get a better flavor. I just expected a whole lot more and it didn’t deliver.

We don’t have that but I can order it on line I’m sure. I bet my wife uses the maple sugar for some dessert now. Gluten free for sure.
