Dressed sausages (a kiwi thing)

Postby Russ » Tue Jun 11, 2019 7:42 pm

This is prolly not up your street but takeaway bars etc sell these, it's a basically a cooked beef sausage, split nearly in half then filled with mashed potatoes and ketchup put over it and reheated in the oven. I love them and so do lots of other people. Do you guys do anything like this??

I’ve never seen them but then again, throwing down a meal in three bites sound pretty good.

Pennsylvania has experience with these Russ. I've had simaliar, but without the Ketchup/Catsup/ Catch Up....however you want to say it.
The ones I had were Polish Sausage with Mashed Potatoes but topped with Cheddar Cheese and they were delicious !!

Thank for posting this, they look great

Pass that plate, Russ. We'd experiment with this, say with beer brauts or kielbasa. Kinda like a grilled Shepard's Pie.
