It's 'that dish' again.

Yes, the dreaded COUSCOUS.

AKA Best Used When A Totally Flavorless Bulkfiller Is Required.

This one contains olive oil, zucchini, red peppers, snap peas and scallion. And enough seasoning to kill a water buffalo, but still not enough.

But there must be an upside to this, you are thinking. There is! It only takes five minutes to cook, and comes in a small enough box so by the time you get sick of it, it's gone!

Thanks. We're here all week; enjoy the buffet.

I’d tap that. The other great things about coocoo? Healthy and cheap! Great “delivery” for vegetables and grilled sausage or boiled shrimp too.

It works fine as a simple side dish that you can add anything you can think of (hot sauce, cheese, bacon, sausage..........) :D

Probably? I've never tried this, but it's almost a 1:1 ratio of grain and water, like minute rice. Some calculation would be needed! :laughing7:

Ok, so it's not mushy right ??
I can't do mushy.

I just got my portable cooker/warmer today for my job since I drive a truck all day.
I'm gonna get some Koos Koos and mix it with some seasoned Chicken Breasts and Carrots and plug it in.
It says it cooks from frozen 3 hrs, fresh 2.
It will be interesting to try the Koos Koos

I wasn't sure whether to put this in Bizarre Breakfast or here....but this is National Coo Coo Awareness Day. So. Basically a repeat, with a fried egg on top.

All: Yer butt doctor will love you fer it too, it helps scour the pipes if you know what I mean. And thus let it be said:

I LIKE COO COO AND I’M COMFORTABLE ENOUGH IN MY MANHOOD TO ADMIT IT. There, I said it.

Oh yeah, I like tabouleh too! So there, LOL!

Liver is out though. It’s not really food, it’s just not. And beets. Beets are not food. Not eaten that either. And Lima beans! Don’t even get me started on Lima beans. Or sardines, my apologies to the Norge nation I know they’re like a national dish, I just can’t bring myself to eat pickled minnows. And no gizzerds, or sweet breads, or menudo, my apologies to Georgia and South Texas, just not doin it, wouldn’t be prudent...

I'm not hijacking this thread, but since Norway and sardines was mentioned:

It's big here but I don't eat it. The brand King Oscar smoked sardines was introduced to the American market at the world fair in Chicago in 1893.

I prefer canned mackerel in tomato sauce on a slice of bread topped with a couple stripes of mayonnaise. Eat it every day.
