I decided to use another recipe that my late great Father In Law used to use in frying Okra to have as a side with our Chicken Fried Chicken Breasts, Rice and Cream Gravy. The Missus really liked all of it

I haven't seen fried okra without breading - ever - that I can remember anyway. I like the different approach!

I admit that my F.I.L.s was much better and he called it skillet okra. I don't think there was ever a real recipe and so for two times now, I've just used the quantities that seemed to be best. Next time I'll start with 3 slices of bacon instead of two and chop the okra a little smaller - - ?? 3rd times a charm ?? maybe??
hope Y'all enjoy it

Any seasonings involved or are those left "to taste" for each diner? I reckon the bacon provides plenty of salt, but anything else?

The only dry seasonings that I added was S&P about half way through. One thing you want to concentrate on is letting the Okra taste stand up and be counted along with the bacon and own-yawns.
