I was talking to my oldest Son the other day and I mentioned remembering how good my late F.I.L.'s fried Okra was. He agreed and I decided to try and find out how he did them. I remembered that he didn't put any dredge or cornmeal on his and that it had bacon and own-yawns in it. Sooooooooo I googled a recipe and proceeded to fix one for lunch, along with some Salmon Patties, Oven Roasted Okra (just a few for me) AND Sweet Corn right off the Cob. THe Wiffy said that it was the best Okra she had ever eaten so now I know how I'll be fixing it from now on. The only thing I'll change is I will start the bacon for just a few minutes until there is some grease showing and then dump the own-yawns and okra in and cook it all together a once.

Looks fantastic...all of it. No corn here yet, can't get to the usual farm stands. Maybe soon!
