Beans and Dove Poppers

Postby bobcat1 » Sun Sep 05, 2021 5:36 pm

We kept it simple today. 1 lb. Elk and 1 lb. Sausage, 2 lbs of Beans with 2 cans of Rotel Chili Fixins and 2 slices of bacon, 1 large yellow onion coarse chopped, 1- 8 oz tomato sauce and 2 tablespoons of Chili Powder. Then Dove Poppers for me and Poppers with no dove for the Wifey. It'll be beans for a few days here.

I tried out one of those grilling pads.... not a fan for poppers. Maybe veggies but nothing greasy.

Bobcat that looks awesome. Not a fan of those grill pads either. We have had good luck with the heavy duty baking or cooling (not sure the correct term) for putting smaller things on the smoker.

Looks great, only got 10 dove and 1 pigeon so I vac sealed them till I can get about 30-40 pieces to make a good size mess,
PB AustinLX, Weber Performer, Weber E310 , 250g trailer pit , 36" cowboy grill, bunch of other ways to burn food.
