Grilled fired pizza

Postby Copasspupil » Fri Apr 01, 2022 10:32 pm

Went out to mimic wood fired pizza but on the Weber at work tonight. Not to shabby. Crunchy crust with no bent at all. Chicken pesto, sausage pepp, a play on Philly steak and a taco pizza.

That’s certainly different; how did it taste?

Only 7 slices remained out of the entire 4 pizzas. 1st through 4th: Philly excellent, pepp sausage, taco and I didn't taste the chicken pesto with arugula/spinach and goat cheese. Philly and pepp were gone. 2 slices remained of the pesto. The taco have 5 slices and was just beans and refried no meat. The crust was crunchy like a cracker. Better then I've done usually. I grilled it longer on both sides. That helped a lot. You could lift up a slice with 2 fingers and no bend in the pie.

Philly steak: steak, onions, jalapeño garlic s/p Worcester sauce pepper flake and mozzarella. No sauce nor did it need it

Sausage/Pepp: red sauce, mild sausage, onion, shallots, garlic, red pepper, pepperoni and mozzarella

Chicken pesto: chicken, pesto, arugula spinach, Romano and mozzarella shallots

Taco: green salsa, black beans, refried beans, Mexican cheese, tortilla chips, lettuce and sour cheese. Tastes like a Gordita
