The taste of childhood- Corn Dog 7

Postby tex_toby » Sat Aug 13, 2022 2:29 pm

I don’t know about y’all, but we had a Corn Dog 7 at our mall when I was growing up and it was a favorite of mine. It disappeared years ago when most malls started becoming unpopular and has probably been 20 years since I had one of their corn dogs. I think they still have 2 or 3 of their restaurants in operation and I saw on their Facebook page that you could order their mix. Definitely some of the best corn dogs I’ve had right up there with Fletchers in my book. Light, fluffy, sweet badder. It hit the spot with a bit of nostalgia to go with it.

Looks like a fun little cook. You can stop posting for awhile, your last 2 post have cost me money. Looks like there is a corn dog 7 in Houma, I will have to give it a try before I order the batter.

Back when I was a kid there was a small amusement park next to the zoo. It had a stand that sold the best corn dogs. No sugar in the batter and had a huge syringe to inject mustard all the way along the dog. Good memories.

just went through the "retirement goal post" in September, so far it's been really good; The bad is the wife has us in the "move to Alabama mode" to be closer to the grandbaby
which is just fine however property sales are on the slow side which means no cooking, gotta be able to put the house in go and show mode two hours of a notice by the realtor but this like a lot of things is only temporary :whiteflag:
