More Naan bread pizza

Postby bowhnter » Fri Nov 04, 2022 5:25 pm

With all the weather we’re having this afternoon, I figured it was a good time to make the naan bread pizza.

I put a stone in the oven at 400, but I think I needed to go about 500. I was afraid to burn it and I didn't get the bottom real crunchy.

Hamburger, green onions, mushrooms, homemade sauce.
Overall we were real happy with it, and I have 2 pieces left for breakfast with an egg on top!

Thanks Troy for the idea…

Looks good and ur welcome .

Yes, definitely need to be at least 500, 550 works great as well. That is 100% the reason for not getting a nice crunchy crust.
Next run try to put the NAAN on a 5-550 hot stone, just make sure you dust it with Semolina just before you put the NAAN on. It will come out nice and crunchy.
Check at 5 minutes to make sure it doesn't burn, could take up to 8 minutes depending on your oven.

Lastly, I put my stone on right at start up so it gets a chance to evenly distribute the temp throughout the stone during heat up.

Yep, I did all that, just too low of temp…thanks for confirming. I think I can do this on the Ooni as long as I don’t get too hot.
My wife liked it so it was a win.
