Kold weather Kweezeen
Since we don't flip coins around here "she" told me she wanted Goulash when I told her I was making Chili on account of the Very Cold Weather that is coming in for several days. So the Chili will be posted here tomorrow. Sure wish I wasn't out of Suckle Buster Texas Chili Seasoning Mix but I'll be using SPG in it, as always.

Wick Fowler’s will do. It’s blown in here. I’ve got the horses locked up in the barn and tried to cover our Azaleas. 30-40 mph winds are ripping my stuff off. Get ready

It got up to 52 around 1pm and then it started blowing in around 2pm - - temp started dropping fast and it was 26 at 5pm. Every water spout is dripping. I'll probably have to move some money to pay the Water Bill next month. Cheaper than having pipes fixed and I pray that won't be necessary.
Good Luck, Neighbor

I already have the propane heater going in the garage to save my surface water well equipment. Dripping water in the house. Attic door opened to let heat up there.

It’s brutal. I just went to the barn to feed, maybe 100 yards. Insulated coveralls, full face mask, and good gloves; still cold. I don’t know how our Friends in the Northeast do it

We don't like it. The older I get, the colder I get.
(But Wick Fowler's will do chili just fine.)
Hang on, everyone.

8* here right now.
My thermapen says it’s 30* in the attic. My IR says the duct work is 24*.
I have 5 of 8 faucets dripping.
Water’s still flowin.
Stay safe!

That’s good news BH. Everything appears ok inside the house; I haven’t outside yet to check the well, pool, animals, and see how many limbs are down

I don't think that I remember it being this cold for this long in my 81 years South of the Red River and West of the Sabine but so far so good !
OK, BACK TO THE "FOOD TOPIC"
As I mentioned yesterday, TODAY is not just A Chilly Day - IT IS A CHILI DAY ! I also mentioned NOT HAVING any Suckle Busters CHILI MIX so I'm having to Sub in some "Sto-bought" on this Batch.

Leave your attic entry open. Let some heat from the house migrate up there.

Lucked out with a shopping bag that I used over the foam pipe and faucet - - - it formed an ice column and luckily didn't freeze over the dripping faucet. I had to knock all the ice away and lucked out ?so far4?
