" Black Stoning " our neighbors

Postby The Pocono Ring Shop » Mon Dec 26, 2022 4:51 pm

We decided to get about 4 family's together " Neighbors " the other night for a little Late Night Breakfast.
Some might not be down for breakfast at night, but in our house Breakfast is always on the menu regardless of what the clock on the wall reads. I started to get some pics but I apologize for missing the finished Homefries, Scrapple and Egg pics but I did manage to get some other good ones.

Triple Smoked Bacon, Sausage Links & Patties, and for those familiar with Taylor products, the well known Taylor Ham/Pork Roll found at just about every diner in Jersey. As for the 4 cuts in the Taylor, doing that helps keep them from " Curling " up while on the flat top.

Was about 10 degrees but the 4 burner Black Stone kept me pretty warm. Absolutely LOVE cooking out in the snow with this thing.

Oh yeah, those Pancakes are to die for. I'm not one to Bragg about what I cook, but these home made Chocolate Chip Banana pancakes with Smoked White Sugar Crystal's and Vanilla Bean Extract will suck you in and never let you go !

Hope you all like the pics ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

It all looks great but are you telling me all that food was for just 8 people?

If I ate that kind of grub at night, I'd never be able to go to sleep - - - at least not until after midnight :whiteflag:

We had 8.5 adults and a 2 year old puppy that we occasionally spoil with small amounts of people food.
When I cook, I usually cook in bulk.
The Taylor Ham, and Sausages we vacuum pack and freeze for later when we just take single portions and set the bag in hot water. Makes for a great breakfast without the clean up down the road.
One thing about our home.... If you leave here hungry, that is 110% your fault .

I understand that Emm, thankfully it was only 7 pm when we ate. We still had time to liquidate if you know what I mean . That helps break down the food.

More food is good. I do that a lot so my wife can stay alive while I am offshore.

If you like Salt, you will Love it. It's a NJ thing, you will either Love it or Hate it but I think you will Love it.
It's best to get a nice sear/crust on the outsides, Sliced about 1/8" thin.
Flat top griddles work best, and throw that on a nice kaiser roll with egg and cheese, pepper and salt if needed, but this is pretty salty already and ur all set.
Don't forget to make relief cuts. If you don't, it will curl/cup up and only cook in the center.

Sailor, I'm actually really surprised you guys haven't had any yet considering you are only a short drive over the Hudson to tons of NJ Diners.
Hope you guys get a chance to try it.

Don't settle for the cheaper knock off imitations, definitely look for the Taylor brand. Big difference.
