Sherry and I did that in the 90’s. Pretty good stuff. The train rides out of the city throughout the countryside are my favorite memories. Almost got in a fight going down the city streets when I met a guy without a shirt that had nipple rings and a nose ring. I wasn’t very politically correct back then

You don't come across as one who would hold back their feelings. :laughing7:

Our son graduates high school in May. We've told him for years that if he handled his business in school, we would take him anywhere in the world when he graduates. We initially had a trip booked for a cruise in Japan - bought and paid for. Covid ended up preemptively cancelling those plans as the cruise line pulled out of there temporarily. He then chose to go to NYC and then to London. I've been to NYC several times for work and have no desire to go back. We had a long layover in London 4 years ago on our way to Germany and left the airport for about 5 hours. That was enough for me. At the end of the day though, these are where he chose out of anywhere in the world, so we're going. He wants to make movies and is going to school for a film degree, so I think he just wants to visit popular places he's seen in the movies.

There’s a train ride out of downtown London that goes to the Thatched roofed villages; it’s a highlight

I have one of the best places in all of town close to me called “catch of the day”. Excellent place for a fried fish and shrimp plate for lunch.

My wife leaves next Wednesday for 28 days in New Zealand. Which is on my list as well, and possibly Ireland. I have traveled many places for work so I don’t have much desire to go many places anymore.

LOL, I went to NY back in the 90s to replace a phone switch destroyed in a fire in Brooklyn. I told my wife that if she ever wanted to see NY to get on a plane now, because I’m never comin back. She missed that opportunity and I haven’t been back.

Toby, get yer son a shave at one one of the shops. I regret not taking a visit out into some countryside towns.

(Since we’re on a hijack  )
