I agree with Limey - the results depend more on the cook than the pit - if you know what you're doing any of them can be used to win. $99 barrel to $10k off-set.

We recently parked our offset and are cooking on two drums and a WSM Thom. The popularity in drums is becoming more and more evident on the competition circuit.

Get yourself a pit you can get familiar with, holds temp while cooking and easy to maintain while cooking. I have used this one for years and like it a lot. I have just ordered 2 more brand new pits because they will hold more food.

They move it each year, was in Waxahachie this past Fall. Check the IBCA site for the latest news.
