It is an awesome feeling! Right now, it feels like enough to get me addicted to this comp stuff! The field was mostly amateur l, but there were a couple of heavy hitters. One ringer got the first place call for chicken and brisket. They also got the overall.

The best thing to come out of this is three people trying to book me for catering events!

Remember that first walk, it’s a great thing. And to get a first call at yer first comp is really special. Mighty well done amigo.

It was an honor to get a call and I don't feel the least bit bad about my favorite local bbq restaurant guys winning overall. Now I gotta find another event to cook in!
