Slick unit.

Bobby: "No."

Debbie and I put the gasket on the door this evening as well. Tomorrow it is brakes and lights.
Brother Kevin, the rig rocks! i am more impressed with the passion with which it was built. Rarely is something built with so much perfection. Nothing on this build just happened, i can testify. you just don't see that often. Truely impressive my friend!

The pictures don't do it justice. There is an incredible attn to detail, that is overlooked unless you really look at the pics. The consistency of the welds, the tight fit around the openings, the cross bars on the fire box door, the small things that really show a commitment to skill and patience.

That is fantastic work
Excellent work on the window framing on the pit door. It would be fun just haulin it around town to show off a little, let alone Q'ing up a storm.

Hands down one of the best builds I have ever seen. I am in awe of your craftsmanship.

Thank You johnboy, we plan on doing a few comps in the Houston area once I get her all lined out.
Thank You MinneSmoka, the door idea worked out well and a few other folks have cloned it for their builds as well.
Thank You ecto1, I look forward to visiting with you when the chance arises.

Wow, KAM!! That is impressive. There are sure to be plenty of great cooks coming off that rig. Wish I knew how to weld.

That is one of the best looking rigs that I have seen around. even looking at the websites of guys that do it for a living.
I also like the team name
Good luck with it and maye I too can see it live and in action somewhere.

Re: My hybrid comp cooker. Seasoning and first cooks. 07/29/12
Here are some seasoning pics and some cooks along with more work on the cooker trailer.
I have been really busy and seasoning and work have kinda been mixed in together.
The first cook was a rack of ribs and a chicken.
The grill was seasoned and chicken was cooked.
First run.
Second run.
Got my temps right now.
Yesterdays brisket on the smoker.
Left side running in R/F.
Right side.
The brisket after resting.
Sliced.
The inside of the chambers after the third run.
The work continues.
I got the gutter installed the other day.
Yesterday while Debbie monitored the brisket I started piping the cook stove burners and working on the sink area.
The cook stove.
The sink area.
