Hi all- this is my first post to the forum. I have a pretty good bbq arsenal going right now, and hopefully I will post about it soon. I’m also looking forward to going through the discussions here!
So..... My friend game me an offset today and I’m wondering if anyone knows what brand of smoker this is. The smoking chamber is 32” and the fire box is 17.5”. It has very thick metal and weighs approximately 500-600 lbs. Im looking to brush the outside down and repaint. Also, looking at getting a couple new grates and a firebox basket.

I think multiple Brands used that exact layout in various steel thickness. Some that come to mind would be Brinkman, Oklahoma Joes, and Horizon. In that thickness it likely had a hefty warranty. My Brinkman 1/4” had a 100 year warranty ( I don’t believe old Baxter Brinkman was ever really going to make good on that) before I made mods. I have no doubt that Rambo is correct about this being a Lyfetime.
Oddly enough I helped a friend make a handle repair on his firebox two days ago.
I would look into upgrading my cooking grate since your acquisition cost was so friendly.
