Inexpensive pit

Made a vertical pit out of a water heater 12 years ago .
Had to cut a foot off bottom..2nd time ..
I know ...buy a good one .. well this one was a homebuilt
Probably spent 30 bucks on it .

Well, Friday evening I brought in some Camp Meat (don't ask) that needed to be cooked and eaten there at the Camp that weekend so a couple of those "Bubbas" turned that Frig into an all night smoker and smoked/cooked that whole Bambi that night. By Sunday afternoon it was gone and so were most of the hunters.
