Finally filled that void on the patio

Postby bsooner75 » Fri Dec 18, 2020 9:59 pm

Well, been 7 mos since I’ve had a smoker. That’s when I sold Blue right before we moved out of the old house. About four months ago I contacted Lone Star Grillz and got on their waiting list. This week was the week so I made a down and back to Willis Tx to pick her up. Hope to season it tomorrow and will definitely post a follow up but I can tell you Chris and his team are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They did a fantastic job building and walking me through this smoker. Can’t wait to use it.

Lone Star Grillz 20x42 offset.

Very nice. You could have called, parts and I would have let you buy lunch and some beers since you were already out spending money.

Congratulations. That is awesome. Shouldn't it be wrapped in paper until Christmas?

Look forward to seeing your cooking on it.

thanks all!

Joe - gotta season her up to cook the Christmas meal…that now might’ve become kindling

Greg - I really wish I had time because I would have really enjoyed that. Unfortunately getting a day off work this time of year is next to impossible so I was moving to get it picked up and back home and unloaded. Dropped the kids off at school at 7:30 and pulled back up to the house at 5 on the nose.

Well done Sooner !! Just something classy about a stickburner. And I see my old hometown finally has a Buccee’s?!? Finally on the map. Solid looking unit, hope you love it.

I knew I was getting close to you but didn’t realize it was THAT close. Dang, I really should have checked. Next time down for sure!

GRAil - i grabbed some bags of B&B just to season. There’s a guy off of 380 that I bought from before. Will hit him up when I actually have time to go get it.

We never pass Buccee's without stopping there and getting some Dried Venison Sausage - - - AWESOME Stuff - - - first time we bought some, I only got one stick and by the time we got home there was only about 3 bites left because the Wiffy ate most of it :dont:

If you wasn’t so sneaky Santa could have met you with some nice post oak and pecan. Next time you need to check in anyway. Ya’ll should probably need a permit to come this far south without clearance.
