It may be worth some time and effort if the wall thickness of both the firebox and cook chamber are 1/4” or more.
If it passes the above, maybe take a look at it and bring a tape measure. Plug some dimensions into one of the online pit calculators and see how it calculates out. If the dimensions check out, offer $150. If they don’t, pass.
As K.A.M. said and I can attest as well, steel prices are crazy high right now so if a ton of rework is needed, it probably isn’t worth it. It also depends on if you can do the welding/rework yourself
