You're inspiring me to try some on my Kamander. It will be interesting to see if I can get up to 600 with it.
Do you just have your pizza stone sitting on top of the food grate?
Thank you PB !
I would think you should have no issues getting it up to that temp. I think its rated to 700 ??
Just watch out cuz the pizza will only take 5 minutes tops on the Stone.
Yes, for doing Pizza, the stone sits on top of the cooking grate. Just make sure you put the stone in there when you first light the lump. If you " Heat Shock " the stone by puting it in there " after " its up to temp, you stand a good chance of cracking it.

Ric,
Thank you dude,
Umm, I've been asking myself the same question for a long time. Just today at work, one of the guys asked it to me as well and I told him I am not sure.
I mean, yeah it will definitely cook the pizza, but I'm not sure how hot the Black Stone cooking surface gets.

I'm really wanting to try one this weekend.
I think that cover you have would help tremendously in evenly cooking the pizza.
Unfortunately I have to find a good domed lid to go over mine because I don't think they make a lid for mine.
Ill be looking forward to the notifications I get regarding new YouTube content from you.
Hopefully I see a Black Stone Pizza from you in case I can't get it done this weekend.

Can't believe I missed this. Great idea.

We've used pita bread for small pizzas. Also with guests where we have different toppings and the guests can compose their own pizza after their own liking.

Making them of naan bread look great. And very beautiful pictures.

Pizzas were a great idea. I fired up the BGE with some Jealous Devil Lump Charcoal and got it up to 700°. I used a premise thin crust and dusted the stone. The crust was crispy and the pizzas only took about 3 minutes. Perfect charcoal crust taste like a wood fired oven.
