I'm also thinking about this. Haven't seen them in the store yet, but I know they are available here. The EX4 is around 1300 USD at the moment. EX6 about 1700.

I wonder about the size of the EX6 vs EX4. I'm only cooking to my family of four, or some friends from time to time.

Do you think the EX4 would be big enough? Like how many babyback ribs would fit in the ex4?

Honestly Joe, I would wait a bit. Give those of us who preordered some more time to help them make necessary fixes that would (hopefully) be incorporated into newer production models.

I think you could fit 4 racks of baby backs laid flay on the EX 4, but I am basing that on a comparison of the cooking space with my old Camp Chef.

Thanks for an honest advice. Maybe next years model will be updated and worth the wait. Hopefully our currency would improve a bit too and can make the smoker cheaper.
The price for USD increased with a whopping 43% due this corona situation.

Good and bad today. Snoked 3 turkey breasts (one for us, 2 for neighbors) a rack of spares, and 2 pork tenderloins (for my folks). Plenty of room on the pit and it functioned well. The bad being that I still had some feeding issues. So, during the cook, i dug through the pellets and removed the safety guard over the pellet shoot. After that, absolutely no issues. Cooked at 250 for 7 hours with no problem. So i am thinking the guard may be the issue. I intend to run it up to 600 and see if its solved.

Figure I would continue to update my experience with the grill. Ran a 10lb brisket overnight last night. Set the Smokefire to 230 and let it go. Woke up periodically throughout the night to check temps and it ran flawlessly. No issues for 9 hours unattended.

Wrapped the brisket after 11 hours and 165 internal. Will update later!

Sounds much easier than: check temp, add wood: check temp, add wood...................
