Ribs because I forgot to defrost a brisket

Postby bogiedr » Sun May 16, 2021 9:13 pm

It all started after meeting my grandnephew, 9 months old, between chemo and COVID-19 could not meet. Finally met and the kid is the bomb! Flirted with his aunt all day.
Anyway, forgot to defrost a big brisket, so went to GFS and bought baby back ribs. My Boone acted up, just hung with it and managed like I do the kamado joe. A few of my favorite adult beverage and ribs turned out great. Now listening to John Coltrane enjoying a good drink and getting ready for the next treatment. Life is good!!! Enjoy my friends! And cheers.

Good looking ribs.

Never heard of Japanese whiskey, but then I don't drink whiskey, except for an Irish coffee maybe every leap year so probably not so strange.

Stay well.

Sounds like a reason to celebrate. Great looking bones.

Been seeing more and more Japanese whiskeys. Guess I need to try one. What would you compare it to? Bourbon, Rye etc?

Thank you my friends!
bsooner75, the bottle I posted tastes like a single malt scotch. Very smooth, straight on ice, mixed with club soda or tap water. It is very refreshing.
OUP, thank you so kindly for trying to fix my postings, not sure why my Ipad likes to do whacky things, maybe the answer is that it is an Ipad!
Thank you all for your support, you folks are the best. God bless you all.
P.S. Hopefully I remember to defrost the brisket this week!!

+1 on wishing you progress to good health. Despite being a Texas bourbon fan (TX, Garrison Brothers) I’ve heard the Japanese are making some very high quality whiskeys.

Best wishes on your course of treatment. I had chemo + 5 surgeries in a 13 month period in 2016 - 2017. It was no picnic and at time tough to see to the end of it but Labor Day weekend this year will mark 5 years since initial diagnosis for me with still no signs of recurrance. Hang in there!
