Re: food grade liners
Got to burn them out or grind the liner. Lot easier buying a non lined barrel if you can find one.
How bout some more beans Mr.Taggert? I'd say you've had enough!

Re: food grade liners
I got hold of a drum with food grade liner. The drum was used for tomato sauce.
Tried to burn it out. Tried two rounds with the drum full of birch wood. Still a lot of liner left. Tried to grind out the rest with a steel brush on my drill.
Gave up on the hole project. Bought a WSM instead.
In other words, try getting one without liner.

OH cmon.... what a XXXXXX... grab some wood pallets and use them to burn. let the flames get high by putting wood up 2/3 of the way in barrel.
also you can buy a propane torch and tank for under 80 euro. aka 10 USD.
AFTER get some steel wool and scrub with water.
if you are that XXXXXXXX and XXXX about the liner just use the barrel as a fire pit for a few days until its nice and black/burrned out.
