Cooking at high Temps

Postby bobsbque » Wed Mar 25, 2020 9:13 am

Started modifying my UDS a couple of weeks ago, It works fine for low and slow but when cooking Chicken I like hot and fast. Somewhere between 400-500. I added a 3" intake while keeping the (2) 1-1/2" Intakes from the Initial Build. I didn't add extra Exhaust but I do need to open lid a little.
Works Great! I guessed on size.....3" EMT was what I had laying around. Got Lucky

Boots has company on that one

Cool looking UDS. Does it seem to handle the heat ok? I’ve read a couple of builders say theirs shouldn’t get that hot.
