IKEA to the rescue

Postby Norway Joe » Sat Apr 06, 2019 8:22 am

I've have for a long time been looking for a sidetable for use when grilling.

Because of our climate it must be durable and it must be able to withstand heat so I quickly can leave hot stuff on it.

I went with my wife to IKEA today. It is the worst place I can be. I imagine it's like the front yard to he... More than once I've left the trolley half full because I suddenly discover they're out of a vital part of what I'm buying.

I was therefore very happy to discover this table, made of steel and with a stainless tabletop. It even has wheels on the legs so it's easy to move. It met all my criteria for a sidetable and went with me home. Cost around 170 usd, which I find reasonable.Image

That is a beautiful photograph. You should have that one framed. Joe, i was in my very first IKEA ever, in stavanger. I had the Swedish meatballs.

Very nice cook table.

The swedish meatballs are actually good. We make them for dinner when we're short of time.

Are you still in the air?

They were actually not to bad. With mashed taters and gravy, and cheap to, for Norway standards.

Yes, i am still in the air, just woke up from my winter nap. But we are back over land now, coming down through Quebec heading for the east coast.

That was nice of Mrs Joe to left you sneak those into that photo. Glad you had the talk with her, but if you need more support we are here for you.

With the reflection off the stainless and the black frame, it looks like a part of the wall to tired eyes without the proper amount of coffee yet! I like this little table. Great addition, Joe!

Thank you, Dragon.

That little table has already come to great use. Very practical to have it close to my grill.

That’s nice! I need something like that. The only thing is if I take my wife to Ikea, we will spend waaaaaay more than we should. And the hard part is they opened a new ikea a few miles down the road :banghead:

There’s also a store like that here except they don’t have food. It’s called AtHome and my wife can spend all day there. :angryfire:

I've been to this store when I visited the US. They have a lot of nice things.

What I like with the little table is that it has wheels on one side. Very easy to drag it between the gasser and the wsm or to the dining table where you can use it as a trancher table. Works great for me.
