WIFI thermometer

Postby PeterB123 » Tue Jun 25, 2019 9:31 am

I bought the SmokeBloq wi-fi thermometer and used it this last weekend.

Quick description:
Weatherproof
AA batteries supposed to power for 150 hours
Up to 4 probes
App for iOS and Android

It was extremely easy to hook up to my wifi. You can name the 4 probes whatever you choose. You can name the cook and type in notes.

You can't export, that I've found anyway, a log, but you can view the information and graph at any time.

I cooked a flat, and since I overslept, I had to rush it at the end. lol. Additionally, I'm still trying to learn my cooker. So, don't poke too much fun at me.

I'm very pleased with this thermometer.

Now, as far as my brisket flat: I overslept to start it. I wrapped it too late. I wish I didn't increase the heat. I pulled it too late (got busy). It resulted in a dry brisket that wasn't nearly tender enough - FAIL. lol.

However, the ribs, which I put on after 7, turned out real good.
