Family wanted meatloaf for dinner this past weekend...

Postby rwalters » Tue Nov 19, 2019 12:53 am

Happy to oblige! Ain’t Your Mama’s Meatloaf from the Smoke & Spice cookbook. Been loosely following this recipe for 10 years or so. You know it’s a winner when the kids scarf it down :)

That's the best looking meatloaf I've ever seen.

I NEVER liked Meatloaf...until Now !!

Great job, looks beautimous!

Please tell me it's not riddled with Ketchup , that's what ruined me I think over the years.
Wow, perfect color

I'm another one that never cared for Meadloaf and the Catsup/Tomato Sauce that dominated it's flavor, however, that looks great. :salut:
How about sharing the Recipe, if possible :dont: :?: :laughing7:

I’d be happy to private message the recipe if you’d like. Not sure posting to this forum from a copyrighted cookbook is a smart move. The thought of having my front door rammed open by the copyright police would keep me awake at night... lol.

Your call completely, however, as long as you're not profiting from sharing it then I see no problem, especially if you give them credit :dont:

while those look Great!! :D
what did you put in them?
I do a smoked meatloaf from time to time, normally use crackers for stuffing garlic onion and misc seasoning with a egg or two then top with BBQ sauce rather than ketchup. The wife didn't like the bbq sauce on it once. So do tell what did you put in yours, it looks great!!

The recipe does not call for BBQ sauce, but on these the caramelized glaze you see is a concoction of Kinder’s mild organic BBQ sauce from Costco, raw honey and then diluted down to a syrup like consistency w/ apple juice.

That's pretty right there. I can just picture a pan of cornbread sitting next to them. Hey Parts, post that recipe.
