Vacation/Road Trip
My turn for the Mrs and I to take a trip. Left home the 5th. I will post more from the start when I have more time and better service. But tonight’s stop is to Grand to not share. It’s our Nations first National Monument.

Re: Vacation/Road Trip
Devil’s Tower! Way cool Greg. Glad to see you on dry ground and getting some quality R&R buddy. Know you’ve been away on the platforms a lot.
We just got back from the high country. One of my new favorite places, Ouray CO. Gorgeous. The original (and to me, best) True Grit was shoot in and around Ouray and Ridgeway. Rented a BA$$ Rubicon and drove the bride up what can only be called a marginal goat road to the base of Blue Lake Pass. 2 foot boulders and holes. Mrs Boots wanted to kill me but decided to postpone it because it was beautiful. She’s a gamer. Then hiked it up to the pass. You guys were almost short a pair of Boots, the trail was steeeep and slick but but the ol ticker hung on and I made it. 13,000. Not bad for a fat old man.

BE WELL, BUT NOT DONE
Hank: "Do you know how to jumpstart a man's heart with a downed power line?"
Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."

I hear ya Boots, this Great Nation is beautiful. Here is a quick one from Teddy Roosevelt National Park in the Badlands of North Dakota. An old CCC structure with the Little Missouri River in the background. I will post more on this later.

Thank you Kevin, we have covered a lot of ground already. With 16 more days to go. Thank goodness I work in the oilfield. The fuel bill brings me joy.

Re: Vacation/Road Trip
So with all the theories out there about the Devil's Tower. Is it a rock formation or an ancient tree Stump cut down by Paul Bunyan?
