After ski burger

Postby Norway Joe » Sat Feb 19, 2022 12:16 pm

After a nice outdoor day it was time for some burgers.

Fired up the outdoor pit and cooked a few burgers , onions and bacon. Wife made her special hamburger sauce which is our favorite. Hamburgers were plain with only spg.

Tasted great.

It's actually pretty simple but very tasty with burgers.

50/50 mayonnaise and sour cream
Chopped pickled cucumber (you might only say pickles?)
Mix in heinz ketchup after taste.
Add a little chili powder.

That sounds very tasty. Sour cream and mayo are a hard combination to beat, IMO.
I bet it's good with either dill or sweet pickles, but for hamburgers, I would prefer the dill.

Thanks for the recipe.

We'd call chopped pickled cucumbers "Pickle Relish". It's available as either sweet or dill.

We also have relish, but that's different here. Relish contains additional stuff.

In this recipe we use sliced pickles like in the picture below and chop these in bigger pieces than in the ready-made relish. These are sour.

Ours has some bell pepper in it but it's usually such a small amount I don't notice it and forget about it.
