Busy next weekend, but thinking about doing the one in Midlothian later in the month... Know anything about that one? It's reasonably close to me.

Never have attended although past records indicate it draws 20 to 25 teams. In previous years it was held the first week of September; with the date change it will be going up aganist a number of established and fairly well attended LSBS and IBCA events held the same weekend.

Yeah, I saw lots of contest going on that weekend. I was hoping for something close since it'll most likely be a solo effort. Might have to give it a try...

Good Luck to you and remember to get some rest Friday night "LOL"
I plan on making the Kennedale Cook-Off 11/13 & 11/14 at Cowtown Speedway; you should try and get the team together for that one. IBCA sanctioned and had 50 teams last year for a first time event. Haven't seen a flyer on it yet but will let you know when I do. Stephen won 1st brisket there last year and old dad didn't even make the final table

There is a good chance that I might be able to get a couple of members of Texas Q Crew out to Kennedale! Ran a dirt car around that track a time or two, so I know right where it's at!
ill take that advice to heart next time!
I need to talk to you about my briskets...
