ANNOUNCEMENT - NEXT THROWDOWN - RULES UPDATED!
My hope was to do a Christmas or New Years throwdown, but the current physical limitations make it impractical.
That being said, the next Throwdown will be for the Super Bowl.
More information to follow, but start your planning! It will be wide open, so use your imagination.
I will update this thread between Christmas and New Years with the specific rules.
Its our first Throwndown in a while, so I hope there is a ton of participation!

I will do my best to participate this time. Now that I have dependable internet I shouldn't have a problem uploading pictures. What are the meat requirements?

No specific meat requirement. Only that it has to be cooked using fire (but not stove type fire). Gas grill, charcoal grill, pellet grill, offset, kamado, cowboy style, whatever!

Re: ANNOUNCEMENT - NEXT THROWDOWN
Well, I had a little time today, so rather than wait until after Christmas, I figured I would go ahead and put the rules up now. We've got about 7 weeks until the cook, but don't let that stop you from doing the cook early. Entries may be submitted to the below e-mail address beginning now!
RULES FOR THROWDOWN
1. Anything goes. With the caveat that it must have been cooked by fire in some form or fashion. Note that boiling, frying or pan searing will not count!
2. Sides are allowed and need not be grilled (but it'd be a lot cooler if you did)
3. To ensure the integrity of the competition, somewhere in the photograph, the phrase "BIGGAME2019" must appear. It must be physically in the picture, not added afterward via editing software.
4. This is intended to be a blind vote. Entries with names, marks, logos or other identifying items will be disqualified.
5. Entries must be submitted to tbbqfthrowdown@gmail.com no later than midnight, Central time, on Monday, February 4, 2019. Entries received after that point will not be accepted.
6. We do this to support the forum, so participate and, most importantly, have fun with it!
SUGGESTIONS
1. Go big or go home.
2. Appearance matters
3. Try to size your photos appropriately so they do not turn 90 degrees when I upload them to the Forum. Regrettably, I don't have the time to edit all of them for uniformity.
4. HAVE FUN!
If you have questions about any of the foregoing, please post them here rather than PMing me. Chances are, if you have a question, so does someone else.

Matt - you posted:

What is the maximum or preferred size photo?

Re: ANNOUNCEMENT - NEXT THROWDOWN - RULES UPDATED!
I just found the answer to my question; from Deputy Dave:
" Submit photos in a JPEG (.jpg) format with a resolution of 800x600. Limit of one picture per category entered. No pic markings."

Re: ANNOUNCEMENT - NEXT THROWDOWN - RULES UPDATED!
Sorry! Have been doing family stuff. For me, the sizing is a suggestion. I will post em how you send em. But if they are too big or oriented wrong, they will be sideways when i post them. I put a disclaimer asking folks to click the picture before voting, but not everyone does. So my suggestion is to make sure they are appropriately sized
